We are proud to share the successful deployment of our first GN Desander 1000D unit at a major project site for our valued client in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. This marks a significant milestone for both JK&T Equipment and our client as we continue to support efficient and environmentally responsible trenchless technology operations in Malaysia.

At this site, sandy slurry generated during pipejacking works is being fed into the Desander 1000D for initial slurry treatment. This robust unit is engineered to separate solids from slurry, delivering two key outputs critical to the project’s ongoing efficiency and sustainability:

Dry Sand with Minimal Water Content
After processing, sand particles are effectively separated from the slurry, resulting in a solid discharge that contains very little moisture. This sand is suitable for disposal, with no need for further drying or treatment. This greatly reduces the overall disposal cost and environmental footprint.
Filtered Slurry Ready for Reuse
As soon as the remaining slurry, after sand separation, is clean and free of large solid particles and clarified water is achieved, it can then be directly reused in the pipejacking operations, eliminating the need for constant preparation of new slurry mixtures. This reuse of clarified water contributes significantly to operational efficiency and cost reduction.

By implementing this system, our client is experiencing long-term operational savings, particularly in two important areas:

Lower Disposal Volume: The effective separation process reduces the volume of waste needing disposal, thereby decreasing landfill usage and complying with environmental regulations more effectively.

Reduced Transportation Costs: With drier, more compact solid waste, fewer trips are required for off-site disposal.
